What is SBEC?

SBEC (SIEMENS x BEST Engineering Competition) is an engineering contest organized by BEST and Siemens.

This three-day competition taking place on March 11th, 12th, and 13th, 2025.

Students compete in teams of four for a chance to win prizes worth up to 500 Euros.

The Challenge

Participants will use Solid Edge and laser cutting to design and produce a 3D model. The exact topic description will be unveiled on the day of the event.

Who can participate in the competition?

Any student of the Friedrich–Alexander University Erlangen–Nürnberg can participate.

How many people are allowed in a team?

Each team shall have 4 members. If there is a solo registration, the organising team shall club you up with the other solo registrations.

Can I register individually or should we register as a team?

Yes, you can register Solo (individually). If you have a team, we advise you to register together.
